CHURCH OF CHRIST IN RUMNEY MARSH

 

First Church in Revere, Massachusetts. Oldest Picture of the Original Edifice erected in 1710.
In this building the
"Church of Christ in Rumney Marsh"
was organized in 1715.

First Church in Revere as re-modeled in 1856 and as it stands in this 1910 photograph. The auditorium of the present building is the original Meeting House as erected in 1710, and is used by the First Unitarian Society of Revere, which is the present name of the Church Society organized in 1715. This is the oldest building used for church purposes in Suffolk County, Massachusetts.
